Freshwater Mussel Exhibition

Did you know that freshwater mussels are the most endangered aquatic animals in North America? If not, swim around the mussels exhibition with me! This project focuses on how we can save the endangered species and educate visitors on how mussels protect our freshwater systems. To form a connection with the mussels, the exhibition is inspired from the bottom of a stream where most mussels tend to live. This system immerses the visitor into the home of a mussels and includes interactive elements of a filtering system and interactive shells.
